Product Overview:
Keep perfect time in your electronics projects with the ultra-accurate DS3231 Real-Time Clock (RTC) Module (ZS-042). Unlike standard clock modules that drift over time due to temperature changes, the DS3231 features an onboard temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO). This makes it highly accurate and reliable for data logging, smart alarm clocks, automated systems, and school STEM projects.
The board also features an integrated AT24C32 EEPROM chip, providing 32K bits of non-volatile storage to save settings, schedules, or sensor logs even when power is disconnected completely.
Key Features:
Temperature-Compensated Accuracy: The integrated crystal oscillator adjusts automatically for temperature changes, maintaining precise time-keeping down to seconds per year.
Full Time Calendar: Manages seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year automatically, with leap-year compensation up to the year 2100.
Onboard EEPROM (AT24C32): Includes 32K bits (4KB) of storage space, ideal for storing custom project configurations or small data logs.
CR2032 Battery Backup: Equipped with a battery holder on the back to ensure the module continues tracking time seamlessly during main system power outages.
Simple I2C Interface: Communicates using just two lines (SDA and SCL), allowing easy connections to Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and PIC microcontrollers.
